Akram questions Fawad Alam's exclusion from Pakistan squad

LAHORE: Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram said on Sunday that the rejection of center request batsman Fawad Alam for England, Ireland arrangement is 'unbelievable'.

The previous quick bowler stated: "Players play residential circuit in perspective of getting a chance to play worldwide cricket. I cannot comprehend why Fawad isn't getting an opportunity, he is still out from the squad in spite of scoring keeps running in local on a normal of 50 in the last three-four years. It's past me."

32-year-old Fawad Alam who scored 10,742 keeps running in 145 top of the line matches with the normal of 55.37 was not picked by the selectors for Ireland, England visit.

Poor Fawad Alam disregarded indeed!

As indicated by commentators, Imam's consideration looks pointless in nearness of the three openers in the test squad.

Fawad was among the fittest cricketer in the wellness tests camp held at the National Cricket Academy for the cricketers in front of the choice advisory group meeting.

Akram said that Coach Mickey Arthur's is engaged to give the chance to youthful players yet where should a senior batsman go who is reliably scoring runs.

He anticipated that the Pakistani group will get extreme rivalry against both the home sides.

Reacting to an inquiry, Akram praised the consideration of opener Fakhar Zaman in the test squad. "Its great to have Zaman, he puts weight on the rivals like Warner and Sehwag," he said.
