English residential cricket is set to get yet another configuration after the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) declared plans for an eight-group, 100-ball rivalry in the quest for more youthful, family-situated gatherings of people.
Under the proposition, collectively supported by the ECB board, each side would confront 15 six-ball overs, coming full circle in a last 10 conveyances - 20 balls shorter than customary Twenty20 matches.
The most recent organization, which takes after investigations with 40-, 50-and 60-over rivalries, and in addition four-day district title matches and T20 challenges, was exhibited to administrators and CEOs of the area clubs and the MCC on Thursday. It is because of dispatch in 2020.
"This is a new and energizing thought which will speak to a more youthful group of onlookers and draw in new fans to the amusement," ECB CEO Tom Harrison said in an announcement.

Southampton, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester, Cardiff and Nottingham have been chosen as settings for the competition, with Lord's and the Oval each playing host to a London-based group.
