KARACHI: Shahid 'Blast Boom' Afridi, one of Pakistan's most-cherished cricketers, tweeted Tuesday to thank previous US state secretary Hillary Clinton over her help for the Shahid Afridi Foundation.

"Much obliged to you @HillaryClinton for supporting the reason for #Humanity and your all the best," Afridi wrote in his tweet that incorporated a video of Clinton.

In her video message, the previous first woman — spouse of Bill Clinton — welcomed the all-rounder, saying thanks to him and saying: "Thank you for that exceptionally pleasant message that your companion and mine, John, conveyed to me at our occasion today.

"I wish you the absolute best!"
