
He will now come back to England halfway through the season and have for Durham as impact of his planning for the long home summer amid which England have Pakistan and India, he declared by means of his Instagram account on Tuesday (May 8).
"The choice has been made for me to return home to England to get ready for the English summer," he wrote in his post. "Having worked so difficult to get once again into the test group, and in light of the fact that I'm not right now not in the CSK side, I am returning home to play for Durham to ideally put my name in the cap for Test coordinate determination."
Wood had played a Test last before in the year in March when England had visited New Zealand where he returned two wickets, yet had scored a helpful 52, in the drawn second Test of the arrangement that England lost 0-1.
Wood aside, three other English cricketers including Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali, are relied upon to leave the competition before the finish of the gathering stages, to prepare themselves for the Test arrangement against Pakistan that commences on May 24 at Lord's with the second planned to be played from June 1 at Headingley.
